Corte de Honor Duties

Traditionally the Corte de Honor performs two choreographed dances. They are easy and designed to be fun. I will send a video tape of the dances for you to practice from. We will rehearse briefly here on Saturday, Jan 16 and a quick run through before photos at the party. The choregrapher is trying to get a rough count for planning purposes. Even saying Yes is not a firm committment.

El Vals (The Grand Waltz)

This is the classic, traditional first dance. Music: Mexico en la Piel

Are you crazy? No!

El Baile Sorpresa (The Surprise Dance)

Traditionally this is an upbeat, fun performance. It will be the dance that ends the dinner/ceremony portion of the evening and opens the dance floor for the night. Music: A mix of Harry Potter music. It is a Wand Duel - part dance, part performance. There are non-dancing roles.

Gimme a Wand!

Yes, if I don't have to dance.

Sorry. I'm a muggle.
